Has anyone ever heard of American Capital Home loans?
Just wondering how everyone’s experience was with them. I’m thinking about getting a cashout refi and they’ve given me a good faith estimate over the internet and said I could close in 21 days. I just feel a little leary since I found their company on the internet but can’t find it in the BBB directory.
Thank you legend, but I am concerned about the legitimacy of this company, not the process which I’m familiar with. I’ve Googled tAmerican Capital Home Loans and have found nothing on the first three pages that isn’t one of their websites. Anyone dealt with them before? Or know of a way to verify authenticity?
You question is well timed. I am not sure whether or not to proceed with them for a refi. My app is full of mistakes and has me very nervous. He seems like a nice enough guy, but there are too many things that are making me wonder about the legitimacy — errors on my app, phone numbers registered in one town but the person says she is in another, too good to be true rates, and there are other things that I can’t put my finger on but it has my guard up. I’m not sure what their angle is. And why is the close 21 days? That seems long.
How did you come across them? I filled out a form (I think on a Yahoo finance page to inquire about current rates) and then my info went to 4 different companies.
I sitting on it for now, but I’m scared I hurt my credit with an inquiry and might have a hard time going with someone else if the heebeejeebees make me leave this app on the table.
